Nylon spacers

Post by gelmonkey »

Hi All
I need to get some nylon spacers made for a contract that has come my way and wondered if anyone out there in forum land could make some for me.
They need to be 50mm diameter with a 10mm hole in the middle and 15/19mm high.
I do not have the nylon so this would need to be scourced
I will need 100's of the little buggers over a period of time.
If anyone is interested then please call me on either 01752 706930 or 07773 781997 up to 11pm any night.

cheers
Paul

Hi Paul
Would this not be a job for an injection molding company, with quantities in the hundreds a small cheep injection molder would seem the answer? If it was a smaller quantity I would just chop them out of nylon bar on a lathe. . .
Sorry can't do either but you may find an injection moulders already set up to do the job, then there would be much less of a cost for the dies . . .
Best regards
Mike

Hi Mike
I understand what you are saying and you are right but I really dont have the time to spend chasing folks on the phone.
Work is immense presently and looks to be going that way for some time which is very comforting.
I would just like to give someone on here the chance to make some dosh for themselves which is why I asked.
I have a mate who can make them for me at his works but they are not particularly cheap even though I will need loads.

Cheers
P
