LT77 Gear stick to remote

Hi,

Just checking the fixing of the gear stick to the Lt77 gearbox remote before I put v8 engine and gearbox into the kitcar. I'm worried that the single bolt holding the cup over the gear stick will break near where the tab joins to the cup....I've taken a picture.

Am I missing something or being paranoid?
