Need Someone to do Some Work! Cash Waiting

Post by Simeon »

Ok, My Westfieild car is now on the road after a long three year build but a few snags have manifested themselves which require attention.

My main problem is that I do contract work and am away from home five days a week. My wife would not appreciate me coming home on Friday night then going out to the garage and oh by way love I'm going for a game of golf on Sunday.

What I need is someone to sort these snags for me, preferebly south England
which I'm more than willing to pay for at a not taking the p***s rate

Cooling. Struggling to keep it stable. Sits at 85-90 degrees until you hit traffic then shoots up to 100-120. Fan seems unable to get it back down again. May need a re-plumb.

Seems to consume oil, half a litre in 100 miles. No evidence of leaks. No rise in water level. No evidence of burning. Exhausts run clear, no smoke. I did rebuild the engine and did not put stem seals in as they are apparently useless on the pre-serp engine. Maybe the engine is coating itself and filling galleries, holes and pipes I don't know?

Running very rich with an eddy 500 carb. I do have the calibration kit.

Does have an oil cooler fitted. I've since learnt, do I really need it. If not get rid and re-plumb oil system.

A walk is a good game of golf ruined
