Injectors, rail and manifold. Rover 3.9

As part of my quest for surgical cleanliness of all parts before I start my rebuild I need to dismantle, clean and re-assemble the whole fuel injector thingby. Is there a correct way of removing the injectors from their ports in the manifold?
