One I bought was M18 x 1.5. Pretty common thread for this sort of thing.demo2 wrote:I allready saw that pic sliag, so does any1 know what thread it is?
Im gonna try and do away with the y piece in the intake so it has two hoses straight into the airfilter housing, cant see the point of having 2 pipes squeezing down to one now dont need a/f meter.

Hi,
I would keep it away from external heat sources if possible, as it can alter the tune if it gets heated from the exhausts.
I always recommend the air filter if your in doubt, but thats only for NA applications,
Phil

Interesting, Phil. Are you implying the original Lucas position on the SD1 - ie inside the flapper - was less than ideal? This does get some heat from the exhaust manifold especially when stationary. Might explain a few things...daxtojeiro wrote:Hi,

Would it be better in the air filter on one of these? At the moment mine is in a tube which replaces the flapper, but would be easily re-positioned.

If youve got no issues where it is then leave it alone
If it is going lean due to heat soak, youll notice this when you sit in traffic for a while or if you turn the car off, then re-start the engine after 5 mins and it goes lean until youve driven for a while. If it does that then move the sensor
