lowering the plenum chamber - rover v8
I'm thinking of lowering my plenum.
What is the easyist/best approach?
Need to take 20-25mm out of the height. The centre height isn't the problem as my bonnet scoop hides this, its the height of the throttle to the side.
I was thinking to just mill the bottom of the trumpet base by 25mm. Could this cause any problems?
Thanks,
Tom.

If it's just the throttle body - cut it off, and weld back so it points down slightly? I'd guess this would have less effect than lowering the entire thing.

Vauxhall Monza/Senator use a 72mm throttle body, this is a bolt on item and can be used quite easily to work with the RV8 set up, means you can cut the TB off the rover manifold and remote mount the monza one,on the end of a pipe to suit where you would like it,

Thanks for the sugestions.
My IACV is in with my throttle so I don't really want to change that and I don't think i'll get enough clearence cuting and welding.
Found some MG forum who recon you can take 15mm of the bottom and 10mm of the top of the plumun base which would be perfect I think.
I've got a spare incase it doesn't work!
