Sorry for any confusion. The current gearbox as seen in the above photo is a Borg Warner 65 (cast into the side of the box) and it's this current gearbox that is broken. I am now about to fit a 4HP22 that I bought from Trevor yesterday.
The vehicle itself is the hybrid....it's a bit difficult to explain without going into a lot of detail, but suffice to say it's 2WD, not 4WD, Range Rover 3.9 engine, Rover P4 chassis, LR Discovery rear axle (narrowed) and quite a few other things.
It kind of looks like a Land Rover, but isn't quite a Land Rover.
