Hi Dava
Welcome to the Forum
You will need to change the crank spigot bearing, the pedal box, plumb in a M/C and various hoses.
You may need to change the gearbox cross member and maybe the speedo drive and cable but I am sure that other's with far greater knowledge than me will also add anything that I have missed or put you straight and me in my place.

cheers

I am not sure I understand the question!!!

Are you saying you are going to get a later engine from a vehicle with an auto transmission and put it into your manual car, and you want to know what you will have to change on the engine?

If that is the question, what is the new engine coming out of, what CC, what fuel injection system etc etc. is it?

To hook it up to a manual box, all you need to do is fit a spigot bush to the end of the crankshaft and fit the flywheel.

I think that's all!

If you are staying with the same make of engine, that about sums it up

It's not the same vehicle but we've just changed the sons ldv to V8 & used a auto box V8 ambulance as the donor vehicle, but fitted it with a manual box & are having to have the prop altered to fit so this might also have to be considered.

The auto-box from the ambulance is worth some money - there aren't many ZF 4HP22's in 2WD that fit to a Rover V8. People ask for them quite often.

Thanks for that, no real idea of their worth it's just that the son prefers a manual box so was going to put the parts we dont need on ebay & in the for sale section when were done in about a months time, but in the meantime?

Put it in the for sale section here and on the Rover forum, you should get a bite soon enough.
