Electric right angled mini grinder

Post by gelmonkey »

Hi All
Am having a bit of a mare with a job I'm on at the moment and an electric mini grinder would be a saviour.
Does anyone know of such a tool as I have been looking for one for ages and have drawn a blank every time.
It has to be a right angled one ,that is the problem.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
Paul

Hi Paul,

Have you thought about using a pneumatic 90 degree die grinder.

Hi Mate
I have got a 90 degree air one which is known in my trade as a wazzer.
We use 50mm wazzer disc's and they work brilliantly.
Have been using it nearly all day but my compressor struggles to keep up with it sometimes as it is very air hungry and this is why an electric one would be fantastic.
Waiting for the compressor to catch up is a pain in the butt especially when time is money.

cheers

Sounds like a bigger compressor maybe your only answer, or an added receiver. Never come across an electric version before. :(

Got a 100ltr job in the back of the van and it still struggles.
Wazzer is an awesome tool but just gobbles up the air.
Compressor set properly and it is on an awful lot of the time.

Ian thanks for the response but you completely lost me mate :?:

Cheers

Paul,

You need a compressor that produces more cfm mate.

Hmm, just a thought but mounting a V8 on top of your tank should do it!

Hi Ged
The v8 mounted on top sounds like a plan.
The compressor that we have pushes 12.0 fad and is was one of the highest
outputs of any portatable unit at the time.
If it was any bigger it would take more than the two of us to lift it into the van.
Have pressed on today and managed to get most of the grinding done but an electric die grinder (mini) would be superb.
Ian pointed me in a possible direction last night but have not had time to follow up on it today.

cheers
