Well, mine are simple.... Get the V8 built and run in ready for the 2012 ODC championship with the drift truck!! Then get on to my Mk3 Hilux running a Supra 3.0 turbo engine

can't wait to get that all finished!!

I do mostly classic events like Cholmondeley and Jersey so I have to 'look' right. Nobody is going to let me in with ram pipes sticking out the bonnet as it would be too 'hot rod'

This setup allows me to keep it all under the bonnet for that flat cap and cardigan look

I have a multi-purpose vehicle that will sprint, drag race, hillclimb and do a little light circuit work and still let me in to the older vehicle events. Most organisers don't understand Holleys and Edelbrocks but when confronted with quad Webers go 'Ooooh that must be a classic competition car, please have an entry form!'

Part of the plan is to improve the breathing over the little 650cfm Edelbrock (not difficult) to get some more BHP (hopefully) and then spend the next year lightening the car (carbon panels maybe) so I can squeeze into the 500 bhp per ton nasp category. I might then be ready to have a go at VMax.

for what it is worth a certain Mr Vizard did a 406 SBC for a pick up truck used for weekend drag racing and general running about a few years ago using this manifold set up (but with 45s not 48s) and was running about 480 bhp on a pretty mild cam, he also said it gave very good fuel economy when set up. I suspect this will give good results on a moderate tune engine, probably not suitable for a short stroke screaming race engine but for your use I would suspect it would make for a good broad torque curve and free revving motor. I considered one for my chevy for a long time, finally bought a sheet metal tunnel ram but I will be putting my engine to different use.

Winter work

Finish off the Duratec Fisher Fury build and IVA it
Start putting the Ginetta G15 back together
Get moving on G27 upgrade and works
Rebuild and fit the Termignonis on the Ducati 900SS
Fix the oil leak on the XS650
Think about modding the head and fitting lightweight flywheel on the G31
Clean out the shed
Assist mate with build up of a stage 2 3.9
Complete some porting development work on an RV8 head
Recommission Yamaha Jog
Complete plans for garage/workshop extension
Try to come to terms with letting go of some of my stash of Alfa Romeo 105 series engines and boxes.

Try not to buy or get involved in anymore projects until I finish some of the current ones.

Why on earth would you want to do that, what you really clearly need to do is collect a few more shells to put them in!

It could only be a step front Coupe - Dont get me started - My initial foray into Alfa's is why I am a very good welder but only own Glassfibre cars now .

Hmmmm scratch built Glass fibre bodied space framed Zagato with a turbo twin spark to a 75 transaxle.

Should only be talking about Montreals here I suppose.

Enough dreaming - back to getting it on e-bay

Have a list of things to do but it's going to be a case of if I can be bothered to work in a cold garage, have the money and the time.
Replace cooling fans with Kenlowes
Replace n/s driveshaft with upgraded one, o/s done after snapping pulling away from lights
Replace coolant hoses with silicone ones
Rebuild front lip spoiler
Blend in bonnet scoop
Get a decent exhaust system made and fitted
Cars already been off the road a month and I haven't done a single job so far

Don't do cold garages, so had one of these for my birthday last year , i know it's the cheap chinese one, but it's ok for abusing down there

i also get lots of free wood from work and the son in law works in wlko and grab all the clearence charcoal/coal bags
