I take it your on about a rover engine conversion? If so you need about inch spacers between the floor and the anti role bar. I can give you exact measurements but I wont be back down the garage until Saturday. If this is any use to you let me know.

I did the conversion with a T5 but used a modified Rover auto bellhousing, the kit I used was from auto power services/magnum performance and I did not need to use the ARB spacers :? it did have 3 door Cosworth front suspension and perhaps the ARB gives more clearance?

Mark the bit that is catching is on the bottom of the bellhousing where the clutch fork is and the slave cyl normaly bolts to, will get the measurements of Marki and make some up next week at work, sump should be back on by then then i can sit it in position and make up the engine and gearbox mounts Cheers Stu

sorry completely forgot all about this until now. The spacers are 25mm with a 3mm cut out to match the chassis where the ARB rubber sits in.

i have the same problem with my 302 i tryed spacing it but that moved the front wheels too far forward in the arches and they were catching :(

as a quick fix i fitted some compression struts, unfortunatley the body roll is now rediculas so i'm considering fitting an ARB round the front as well...

It will move it slightly but it shouldn't be that much. It wouldn't be difficult to to machine the blocks to get rid of any offset. You could even change the chassis legs to correct it if your sure its always going to have a v8 in it.
