Plug and Play Lucas 4CU conversion
I've produced an MS conversion for the flapper system which should be plug and play. Here's a pic.

I think that's one of the biggest thing that prevents people making the change. Lack of plug in options or conversions
Having something people can buy and just plug into their car really simplifies the job. No excuses not to do it now !

I've been making them for a few years now, but they don't sell that well as most people feel that the Flapper isn't worth the effort and want to go over to the hotwire.
Personally I think theres still life in the flapper, it's the injectors that seem to be the weak link,

Sadly the loom plug isn't fully populated. Only the connectors which are used are in it. There are spare ways for lambda sensors etc on export cars.stevieturbo wrote:Any pics of the connector ?
If an end user only had to cut/join a few wires with very clear instructions, same odds really.
It's the daunting task of wiring in a system from scratch that is the killer.

I've not actually used the flapper - it just remains in place for the ATS and original looks. The flaps can be removed to improve air flow if needed.daxtojeiro wrote:I've been making them for a few years now, but they don't sell that well as most people feel that the Flapper isn't worth the effort and want to go over to the hotwire.

There are new injectors on Ebay at the moment for a very good price - someone has found a crate of them. But mine are original with some 170,000 miles, with just one clean.
