LT77 rebuild kit

Post by Richard P6 »

Hi all

I am just about to remove my LT77 19A **** B and rebuild it. I have been looking for a 28A ****D but have failed to locate one for a sensible price.

I have found some comprehensive rebuild kits on ebay but they are for the 4WD variants and are different - Ashcroft tell me, "there are a couple of different parts in the 19A, selector shaft seal and rear output shaft seal and bearing"

Anyone know where to get one for the B suffix 2WD version?

Richard

Hi,
This might be worth a try.

http://www.autogear.ltd.uk/discovery-lt ... and-b.html

Or, if it's only the one bearing & seal needed order from a bearing supplier.

Cheers Ged

I was looking for something like this but for a 2WD gearbox

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390229805633? ... 069wt_1102

Apparently these are not suitable, which is a shame.

Ashcroft do this for £140.00

But still not suitable for the 2WD car

I think I'll just haul it out and strip it down, then see what is needed.
