Just thought I'd sing the praises for Double S Exhausts

Post by softdash3.9 »

After 5 years service my RR Classic Stainless system developed a fault :(

Removed the RH tubular manifold as it was blowing on the Saturday, turned out the cruciform between the primaries had blown out

As it has a lifetime warranty I contacted them on the Monday, they said they'd either repair it or replace it within 24hrs and send it back

Sent Monday for pre 1pm delivery Tuesday, with a copy of the receipt

Recieved the replacement manifold @ 08:30am Thursday :D

So really good turn around, just thought I'd let you know

Didn't get a photo of the missing cruciform between the primaries

a few of the welds from the primaries/collector were fractured/lifting

Hadn't realised how noisy it was(was waffly for a while) until when returing form Dorset with the caravan, there was a step change in vloume when the cruciform blew out

really quiet, relatively speaking with the new one fitted

Happy Now :D

They replaced the entire manifold ?

Wow, I'd have thought a repair would have been good enough.

Very impressive service.

They would have had to destroy the manifold to refit the cruciform between the primaries, and with the toes of the welds also lifting was the only way I thought.

I'm very pleased too with the service

Did they just replace the manifold, or the entire system ?
