I did do a search before posting so appolgies if I missed any threads covering this.
I've currently working on a land rover 110 with the 3.9 V8 and an autobox. I'm planing on fitting a RS cyclone cam and a set of heads but I'm not sure which to get. I want to keep as much low down power as possible (I off road in the car) and I'm not really bothered about peak power after all its a 2 ton brick lol.
Am I best getting a set of heads with standard valve size like V8 tuner stage 1 or econotune heads?
valve size and power band

Hi
I would go with standard valves, waisted stem and with a 20 degree back cut on the port side of the valve. I would get the valve seat area fo the port opened as far as you can and the push rod area opened up, but stick with standard sized port openings at the gasket face, basically a full stage 1 job but keep the port area as small as possible.
Best regards
Mike
