Valve Guide to spring retainer gap? Rover 3.5

Hi guys,
Can anyone confirm the gap required between the valve stem seal and the spring retainer cap on a 3.5 rover V8...... is it 80 thou??

You can go to 60 thou no problem, we run it at that and have seen 8000+ rpm with no sign of contact. If you are running stem seals make sure you measure to the seal not the guide.
