fuel sender issue

Post by series3-2007 »

hi gents, just a quick question hopefully, got a bit of a fuel sender issue, ive had my tank custom made approx 100ltrs, but as it was custom designed to go inside the legs of my cage, its too small for most standard sender units, any ideas what sender i could use, i'll find out what the dimensions are when i get home, but what could be used for this??

thats the normal series sender which is too long

Hi
Can't you just chop a bit off with side cutters and bend another loop in the end??

VDO make a range of straight tube senders.

Not sure what they come in in terms of resistance readings. I actually need to alter mine though after fitting a different instrument cluster.

They come in various lengths

Dax Rushes use same sender but you have bend the wire with an 'S' bend to shorten it to make it fit.
Richard.
Dax Rush 5.0l TVR V8, EFI with Megasquirt ECU and wasted spark, Racelogic Traction Control and Quaife LSD ....... Now nut and bolt restoring a TR6
