Ive simply modified my old dizzy to use it as a single pulse on a hall sensor.

I recall seeing a dizzy shaft that had been chopped down to a stub that had a position sensor on the top of it. It may even be in this forum somewhere. Stood just proud of the block and would not interfere with any plumbing over much.what do you use for a camsync on the early RV8s? Anything that is smaller than a dizzy?
Cheers,
John

The serp front end has a position for a hall sensor on it. Some have a hole, if you have a serp then that could work for you.
If not, your going to have to come up with a modified dizzy to run full seq, semi-seq doesnt need a cam input, just a crank, V8D use that setup a lot for ITBs

I was under the impression that there was already a suitable lump of metal ready to trigger a hall sensor under there. May be worth ringing Shaun at V8D as Im sure thats what he told me once he saw my dizzy sensor.dnb wrote:I drilled out the sensor boss you speak of, but with the older cam and a duplex chain there is no space to fit a trigger wheel of appropriate size
I want to play with per cylinder fuel and timing trims...
Ive just wired in all 8 EGTs to my MS3 (I/O extender), so hope to start tuning each cylinder on the 5.4 any day soon. The main fueling is now done, closed loop idle all sorted, really runs well!
