compression ratio?

hi guys i have v8 in rear of my 73 vw beetle monster truck and am trying to find out where and what my engine came from! i have spocken to a couple of locals but they were stumped as my block is stamped 9:25 to one??
the closest i can find is 9:35 to 1!
can anyone shed any light please??

Can you give me the first 3 digits of your engine number please M8 so I can update the list.
