Theres nothing special about it, its just the working temperature that it can cope with thats important, I use these:

thanks muchly.

i understand the wiring diagram, im just struggling to visualise it. ill have to post some photos of the loom ive created at the moment. ive got the coils wired in with a +ve tail coming off ready for the capacitor

My genuine Ford ones are designed to be fixed under a coil mounting bolt.

The fixing clip provides the ground - rather like the capacitor inside the dizzy on a points system.
