Throttle potentiometer

Hi guy's,ive been having problems with 3.9 efi in a landrover discovery which is very lumpy at idle so far ive fitted a new dizzy and coil,new leads,full service,checked for air leaks,today i ran through the e.c.u settings and found the throttle potentiometer has a reading between pins 3 and 25 of 7900 ohms i believe this should be between 4000 to 6000 ohms is there any way of adjusting this to get it between the recommend settings,i then reconneced the e.c.u plug and turned the ignition on and checked the voltage between pins 20 to ground and got within the tolerances with the throttle open and closed,any advice/help appreciated,danny
