Depends how much a lot is. But yes it does feel like there is too much on mine except there isnt.

i'll try and measure how much mine moves by on the pinion 2mora mate.

I'd say it's nothing to worry about. I know my own feels as if there is huge amounts, but the lash is definately correct and it's been running for quite some time now

and i trust you mate cos of the beast you got, :D

what made us look was the trans shunt i started getting since fitting the mussie axle hence we found the movement, but i'll leave it then :lol:

You just get used to the clunk.

it's worse with a polybushed centre bearing and fully rose jointed rear and solid engine. But ya do get used to it.

As I say, it's just a massive ring and pinion. I think with shorter ratios it might get less noticable, but I'm on a 3.27

You could use the pinion as a deadly weapon !! lol

yeah im still on the stock lsd and 3.08 gears at present.

bit skint now after doing the engine work last year and then the flippin axle this year , I would like a FMS diff and different ratio's but thats going to have to wait :cry:

I'd say the 3.08 would be a bigger clunk than mine.

But CWP's are cheap enough for when you do decide to change and there is a good range available.

At least now you can drive it to see if you even want to change
