Exhaust manifolds to fit MGB?

Post by chodjinn »

Hi, need some info to consider my options, what exhaust manifolds will fit an RV8 powered MGB? There's a set of Janspeed ones on ebay at the moment but it looks like they could foul the chassis rails?

Anyone help?! :D

If I remember right most off the shelf manifolds will hit something barring the block huggers which are dubious performance wise.

Blockhuggers are option one. But they are a bit tight on flow.

Best option is MGB RV8 style headers. Apart from getting a set custom made these are your best option. They go over the chassis rail and into the inner wing area. So you have to cut a hole for them. The primaries terminate into a simple collector which you can cut back and open up. I've chopped mine back and welded 3" pipes on..

Olly,

MGB Hive do a full stainless MGRV8 system for £495.00, if you don't want the whole system they may do just the manifolds.

I have them and they are beautifully made.
