jwr offenhauser dual port manifold

at the back of the inlet manifold there is a hole with 2 threaded holes, what is this for and can it be blanked off?

thats the water return from the heater matrix, if you'r not running a heater it's better if you loop a pipe from the water pump through it with a restrictor to stop the system airlocking and hot spotting :)
So thats where it went !

It's actually a feed to the heater not a return, but I agree with the loop idea via a restrictor to the INLET of the water pump.
