Can anyone help me make mt plenum?

Post by chodjinn »

Hi all,

Long time since I've been on here. Trouble with the house & housemate has taken up most of 2010. I'm in a bad state with respect to my MG - either I move, and have to sell it. Or I have to sell it to pay for the mortgage. Either way it's looking like I will probably lose it.

BUT!!! I am forever faithful, and the main problem with the MG apart from it needing rewiring is the plenum.

I have the design, measurements and new 80mm throttle body, I just need someone who can weld aluminium to help me make it (there's no way I can afford the hundreds and hundreds for a custom plenum by a fabrication shop!).

So I'm asking can anyone help at all? I will pay, obviously. Eliot was fantastic a couple of years back with a custom trumpet base he did for me, so something like that would be great.

Hope this is in the right section . . . oh and happy new year!

Probabbly best to give him a bell.

PM me and i'll give you his number.

I'm sure he could supply/cut the metal if needed but obviously would cost more.

I can get some later tonight or tomorrow hopefully. I'm not goign to be using it any more now I've sold my injection set up so it's a rather expensive paper weight at the moment! It's very similar to the large single throttle body used on big power skylines or supras.
