PCV Routing

Post by cushti »

Instead of the usual set up on a carbed V8 (mine is a Ford 302) can I install a breather vta on one valve cover, PCV valve into the other & then connect the PCV valve to an oil catch can (hence removing any connections to the intake & air cleaner but still have an operating PCV system)?

The reason I ask is because I have no connection on my new air cleaner to take a hose to the breather, I also want to remove my carb spacer (which has the port for the PCV hose) & I have a nice chrome catch can handy!

All sorted. I cannot have a breather vta. For my idea to work it needs to be a breather with pipe so a hose can connect it to a vacuum source from the intake.
