there is a t56 for a vette on ebay at the moment, not a truck box but with a low final drive it would work and would give you a relaxed cruse, the vette box has lower ratios than the ford version. I sincerly doubt you would break it with only 2 or 3 hundred break horspower.

I saw it but it's for the Goddess so don't need 6 speeds @ £750

A Vette T56 is a transaxle.
9.85 @ 144.75mph

Indeed, but the one on ebay has a chevy patten bell housing and a tail section and no driveshafts, so I think that makes it a gearbox. :D
