TVR T5 box

Hi.

Can someone tell me lenght of the Borg Warner T5 (TVR chimeira 5.0) gearbox shifter location to bellhousing/gearbox mounting face? Or bellhousing/engine mounting face to centre of the shifter?

I´m thinking to change my SD1 box to T5 so i need this information..

Hi, No problem sir, all in metric & English.

Gearbox/ bell joint to centre of shifter = 568mm ( about 22 1/2 inch )

Engine / bell joint to centre of shifter = 743mm ( 29 1/4 inch )

Total length from engine / bell to rear of box = 793 mm. This does NOT include the output shaft ( not even an inch ) out the rear.

My bell is 175mm
All measurements taken from my own BW T5.
The mounting holes underneath for the crossmember are 110mm apart or 55mm from centre.
The metric measurements are "Crack on" the English Dam close.

Is this TVR Chimiera box dimensions? If they are, looks like they are almoust identical as SD1 LT77.

I have done just that, changed from sd1 lt77 to tvr t5. the t5 gearleaver was 4" further forward! had to make an extension. The cosworth tail housing i believe makes the gearleaver come out in the right spot but won't fit the tremec t5 from a tvr because it has a bigger output shaft.

Hi,
The dimensions given for the gearbox - shifter are for the BW T5.
The bell dimension was for a Rover V8, sorry about the English dimensions, I had a bad day.......Mike.
