ZF gearbox oil?

Well i finallt got all the bits together, 8 weeks to get the box out of the jag !! anyway it's all lost a bit of oil and i was wondering wot the recommended type was? thanks, john

Dexron II or III from wot i've read on the web, anyone confirm?

According to Castrol it should be TQD, Dextron III is only suitable for top up and to a maximum of 10%

Think i've lost more than that when the guy drained the convertor for me, thats the rane rover one, how do they manage on full box rebuild?? i was going to drop the pan and change the filter as a matter of course !!

I have been using bog standard ATF. Seems to work OK.

Cheers Chris, i couldn't find much info on the web at all ! i have a good source of dextron 2, so i'll be using that, it's not as if i'm going to be doing anything daft in it !!
