Capri rear axle identity question

Post by Wizardof »

Hi guys,

This probably has a simple answer but I'm a bit confused at the moment and would appreciate some help!

I have an LSD diff from a Capri in my car currently and want to know what it is.. some sources say its a Salisbury, some say Atlas, or are the two terms interchangeable?

It certainly has a diff cover at the rear with 10 bolts holding it on and its definitely an LSD as if you turn one wheel and the other turns the same way, but thats all I can tell!

please!, someone put me out of my misery!

Cheers
Kevin

Atlas is a Ford definition, and Salsbury is a generic term for a rear loading diff
