Traction Indicator??

Post by topcatcustom »

Is there any way of rigging up a warning light for when the rear wheels spin? Today at the drag strip I just couldn't tell when they were spinning which was a pain in the arse as there was bags of power I couldn't use. I think most of it was down to the bumpy concrete surface as it pulls better on the road, and could probably get over it with smaller wheels and bigger tyres- but dont want to change them and it will just put more strain on the old LT77!

I guess you would need a sensor on a front wheel for reference and on a rear (lsd) for the reading...

I think you have answered your own question. Trigger wheel on one front hub and similar on the prop, and some electronics.
