Cylinder Head Studs
Well it seems the cylinder head studs for my new engine are pretty expensive... ($420 for ARP kit). Actually shocked me on the price!
Seeing as I will be going for a turbo setup eventually (up to 14 psi lets say for the moment) can I get away with using a set of good head bolts instead? ($50) Or with that boost is the gasket going to blow?
I dont like the idea of paying £350 for something that is normally half the price for other engines!
I could always try and retrofit a set from another engine?

Zander,
Ring Real Steel, 01895 440505 they stock them, my old price list says £110 but with the current ex. rate they will have gone up a bit.
Find it hard to believe the price you were quoted, who was it?
D & D have them for $135.00

You can always call the UK ARP rep direct mate!
A pal of mine has done just this to get a set for his V8 bimmer. They dont actually list a set, but the rep did some research and came up with a kit that would fit.
I'll try to get the number for you.

No I dont think it is. Its based on the cologne engine (a 4.0 SOHC version of the 2.8/2.9 engines fitted to capris)kiwicar wrote:Hi
Is the V6 related to the ford mod series of engines? just if it is then buy a ford mod kit and use 3/4 of it. Got any pictures of it and a spec?
Mike
I will be able to get some pics of it when I get back from diving at the beginning of June
I should be able to find a spec though
