Chop 2" off the gearstick! Then its even further from the steering wheel so probably makes no difference, especially on an old design 'box. In my experience quickshifts are rubbish unless they are put on boxes which can handle the speedy changes, T5 probably, LT probably not.

I agree, chopped about 2 1/2" off my gear stick. Makes for faster gear changes but the synchro's can't keep up.

I took about 2 inches off the stick on my SD1, made changing gear quicker, but the LT77 is definately not the quickest box around!!!!
Currently running a 351ci 1976 Mk1 Granada Estate.
Ex-Owner of 2x V8 Rover SD1's.
