Does anyone know the torque of the cross bolts for a rover?
Might be a strange question, I brought a new 4.0 litre engine, with it came a spacer, where does it go, using a old sd1 engine for rest of pieces, told I'd need it.
Can I uses more than 1 rocker shim to get correct lifter preload?
Thanks

You can use more than one rocker shim if needed.
The torque settings you need are on the 4.6 torque settings down this page.

Re: Crossbolt torque, a spacer and shims
If you are using an SD1/P5/P6 type front pulley, then the spacer is probably to allow for the longer crank snout on the 4.0Paul V8 wrote:Does anyone know the torque of the cross bolts for a rover?
