Valve lash caps

Post by mgbloke »

Thinking about using comp cams lash caps which seem to improve the geometry of my rockers.
The caps that I have bought fit snugly over the valve top but there is no gap between the lash cap and the valve retainer wedges.

I cant find any info regarding this. would have thought there would have been some clearance.
Anyone know about these things.
Thanks
Mark

Hi
There should be a clearance between the lash caps and the collet top, you can face the open end down to give a clearance using an oil stone, or use chevy, not buick/rover valves (nearly all the lash caps over here are chevy).
Best regards
Mike
