Downdraught intakes
Hello all,
Anyone know a cheap source of downdraught carb/throttle bodys intake manifolds for rv8's?

V8'less but a fountain of dorky knowledge ref v8's!
.......Actually working on a FloWorks model of a Rover plenum at the moment (and associated inlet manifold) to see how well the standard one flows and what's the maximum mass and volume flow rate.
Then I intend to rework it with single larger throttle body, dual throttle bodies, triple throttle bodies (al la ACT kit), then a front-facing throttle body, THEN finally (my insane idea) 3 throttle bodies placed on top of the plenum.......
Should generate some interesting results

John Eales does one, I think it is in the region of £280.
The good news is that his manifold has the carbs / throttle bodies facing each other (oposite banks) This will make the linkage better!
I don't think it is possible to do this shorter than the JE one.

Call him as the manifold is no longer shown on he's web site.

The initial problems with Phils was fixed (hole between runners). Talking to him he was just happier tuning a plenum system.
Starting with an IDA manifold isn't the best way to do a bike ITB setup. That Dave we were talking about on emails does have laser cut RV8 manifold parts that would be a better starting point, but you end up with exactly what Phil has (hence better to buy his if he is selling.

Inglese induction do downdraught inlets and carbs for chevys and other v8's. The website currently has IDA and IDF versions but i'm sure back in the day they also did a DCNF inlet for the small block chevy that arranged the carbs inline like and old ferrari carb set up. Looked fantastic with the stubby siamesed trumpets.http://www.inglese.com
