Hi hightrux.
I have read the instructions for the pumps and it's seems there are some options for installation. It would be useful if you could clarify details of your installation.
For instance, have you removed the impeller of the mechanical pump or have you disabled the drive belt or are both pumps still active. Also, are you using an aftermarket inlet manifold and where are the heater flow/return connection points?

I note from the instruction that the control box just switches the pump on and off at timed intervals so the pump never runs slower than the maximum. It will either be at full power for say 10 seconds and off for 10 seconds depending on engine temp.

The instructions also states that the heater may not work as well as before. On a RV8 the heater will not work as well if the thermostat is removed for two reasons. The water takes the easiest route back to the radiator via the thermostat orifice and secondly the engine temp is lower.
