Fuel system on thirsty lump

Are the plastic with paper element filters ok? My fuel pick up pipe is in fact 2 1/4" pipes that Y piece into the big main hose, its easier to find 2 small filters than 1 filter with big enough ends and the plastic ones are dirt cheap- hence why I'm not sure about them! The biggest I can fit beside the tank is a pair of 2" approx diameter filters in parallel.

I am running a Facet competition soild state pump which is nice and small for my nitrous system. (5/7 psi and through a regulator and pressure guage)
It is individually switched and will cover my pressure needs for a 100bhp shot.
Make sure that whatever pump you use it is mounted onboobins as they make hell of a noise when running although with your motoe I guess you won't here much anyway!

Thanks Al, seeing those figures I recon I'll be fine (or not a long way off) I should be running about 7psi boost, blower cam etc I'm hoping around the 300bhp mark? Tried not to get silly optimistic!!
There are some sintered type filters on ebay but wasn't sure about how well they would filter, they are going to be hidden under the panel behind the seats so not fussed about them looking any good! I've got my shiny bits in the front!!

Don't forget that is flywheel horsepower, you need to account for the blower and other items driving off the front, ie alternator, water pump, power steering, air-con. I would estimate from fuel usage the blower will take at least 50 hp to drive and may well be a LOT MORE. So factor that in together with hills, G-Forces etc and a single blue Holley is marginal at best. Personally I like a lot more reserve than that.

I was told by Nigel at UK Blowers to expect 6.5psi at 10% under on my 4.0 with Offy 360 manifold. And from someone - roughly 50% extra power after the blowers 50bhp drain...
No air con or power steering for me! Real man! I took all that crap off in the name of simplicity, weight and power saving. The pump will be dead easy to get to and as I already have it I will try it but swap it if not man enough, I cant keep putting more money in until its running!

I think the increase in power you have been quoted is a little optomistic for the boost figure. Most people work on the folowing equasion.
new output= (original output X (1 + ((boost/atmospheric pressure)x blower efficiency))) -power to drive the blower
so if it takes 20 bhp to drive the blower, the efficiency of the blower is 80% and the boost is 6.5 psi and you had 200 bhp to start with.
new output = (200 (1+ ((6.5/14.7) X .8 )) -20
New O/P = (200X 1.35) -20
New O/P = 251BHP
if you can improve the efficiency of the system with a charge cooler then you can gain a bit by improving the efficiency figure but you have to spin the blower a bit faster to get over the restriction created by the charge cooler and you therefor have to factor in a bigger power loss through the blower! It is all good fun.
