toyota w58 to rv8

Post by 61klassic »

Hi all, i have a 4.5 rover v8 fitted to a consul classic. Have just picked up a w58 box with bellhousing to fit rv8 as got tired of poor shifts on lt77.
Im trying to find out which clutch parts to use from anyone who has carried out this conversion.
thanks

Speak to Helix, they did my clutch for me Im fairly certain you will need one of their offset friction plates as the input shaft on the toyota box is quite short, so they get around this by making a longer spline for the friction plate, I dont think it was particularly expensive for the whole thing including one of their HD pressure plates, which have a nodular Iron plate to lessen the chance of ot letting go.
