You have just explained the problem. The firmware I use only has "Angular width of tooth" in it. Yours has both - typical version control issues... I am looking at 1.1.58 now, as this should suit us both well - it has the nitrous control you want as well as all the things I want.

You need to set angular width of tooth to 10.0 and angular width of missing tooth to 20.0

Hi Tony,
Have you tried checking the crank position sensor ? When I fitted Emerald to my RS2000 I used a volt meter connected to the sensor and waved a spanner past the end and looked for a positive voltage on the approach to check the polarity. This would also check to see if the sensor was working.....probably !

Tony, have you tried switching the wires around on the crank sensor? I know that MS won't see the signal if it's the wrong way round also is the sensor close enough. Just thinking out loud.

still nowt,
have tested the crank sensor and that seems to be working fine,
was told to test it at 200ma on a DVM and should see between 100-200ma
we got a reading of 02.4 when cranking

got the sensor sorted had to space it off the trigger wheel a lot more,
Image

now have a reading of 170.7 mv (needed between 100 and 200)
Image

still no reading from the ecu though
looks like maybe an ecu fault, here we go again

So on with the car,
changed the old bilstien shocks to the new Gaz adjustables, (match the fronts)
Image

The new mounting bracket for the line loc was finished so i fitted it,
Image

Modded the dash panel to take the O/E Ford electric mirror switch.
Image

The bonnet went back on;

All thats left now if im correct is just the rear brake lines to make,
then its ready for the road, (when it starts)

reason for the lecky mirrors the manual adjust ones have an adjustable joystick and it foul the roll cage,
Caprisport had a set of Ford electric mirrors that will fit the capri doors with a bit of work, so we decided to go that route,

the line lock is still the old manual lever type, will be electric though by the middle of next year, unless i find one cheap before hand.

Have you got a better picture of the trigger wheel setup? Normally the sensor has to sit within a few thou of the wheel.

Is your sensor being affected by the pulleys as trigger does not seem to stick out very far.

You could do with a scope really to monitor the signal

if we we close the gap the sensor generates over 200mv,
the test meter went off the scale,
if i had the money mate i would buy a scope,

Image

i'll try and space it off the pulley a bit more and try again today.

Using a dvm is not good enough; you could have 200mv on noise. Had a look at page 31 and the trigger wheel looks to be same height as pulley so am wondering if sensor is picking up something from the pulley.

Think I would have placed trigger wheel the other side and made it stick out past the pulley so sensor can not be influenced by anything else

Maybe others more qualified can pass on there thoughts

edit
Sorry, Other side of pulley as there looks to be more space to get it it clean air. But am only guessing, may have nothing to do with it
