That's all hooked up then.........You wouldn't have been the first to have missed the hole, and I doubt you'd be the last.....

My new coil is on order now so I await its arrival with intent. I will put a voltmeter on the coil soon and see what's what there - I noticed today looking at the fuse box there are a few scotch blocks drifting around...Hmm.

Once I get it safely driving then rolling road session as a treat, methinks. Make sure it's really dialed in - then anything else I do will be an improvement rather than masking some inherent fault....

On Series 2 P6's (with the fuse box behind the passenger glovebox), the fuse boxes are a known weak point, with overheating and melting problems, so get rid of the scotchloks and make sure you have the correct length imperial fuses in it, not the shorter metric ones, they have too small a contact area on the connectors, and overheat for that reason.
