Just bought a car with a Rover 3.5 V8. I've seen this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0123038503 on ebay and was wondering if it would bea pretty straightforward swap?
The engine has a Hurricane DW262 cam fitted, how would I go about timing it up after fitting? I can't find any details about the timing settings?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Simon

Simon,
That appears to be very good value, just make sure you tell them what the engine is in or what car it came from, so they know which drive gear to fit to the shaft. It should be a straight swap.
Timing wise I would set the initial to 10 degrees with vacuum disconnected
then reconnect. Has the engine got standard heads or have they been modded.
If you are not sure of the history of your engine you can check it in the engine section at the top under engine numbers.
What dizzy do you have at the moment?
Kevin.
