Hi all.
Sorry if im going off the topic a bit here.
Can anyone tell me if the hole above the crank is for the cam sensor?
I have another cover with the land there but no drillings for it, if thats the orig place it will make life asier for me.
Converting to a serpentine front cover.

If you refer to the Serpentine front as shown by ihatesissycars then yes it is.alex wrote:Hi all.

Hello all again, i've found a complete 3.9 interim serp front end for £120 so i'm gonna grab it all and worry about if it will fit or not later on! If it won't fit my present setup then i'll work it into a future engine build as it solves alot of things i don't like about my present setup.
What do i need to do to make it fit though? The bit i don't get it that the front pulley goes over the crank nose cover ing it but the crank key drives the oil pump, how does it engage with a pulley inbetween?

SORTED!
I only need to do one of two things both related to the key way in the crank. I need to fit the longer woodruff key and i can either grind the key down to that it fits in the original slot but enough sticks further forward to locat the front pulley, sounds gash but it should work as the bottom pulley bolt thats done up to a figure needing a very long bar should take the strain off it OR i can lengthen the keyways slot in the crank and stick the longer key into that. Only problem with that is that engine is in the car. . . . I would need to seal up any way into the engine leaving just the crank nose exposed to avoid filling the engine up with crank filings although i built it so it'll proably end up full to the brim with powdered crank no matter what!
