Yeah boat is most likely given the turbo set up and exhaust, either that or its a bloody big engine bay! Strange that they've used a single throttle body when they have Jenveys as well, guess they must be redundant and just for the injectors. Steel bottom end, dry sump etc very nice. Wonder what the valve train is though?
anyone confirm what turbs they are? Look similar to mine but not rotomaster, maybe garrett (yes i know they're the same really!). Wonder what wastegates are on it and what boost it runs at. 600bhp certainly!
There's a good £10k in that engine at least!

I'm surprised e-bay haven't pulled it again as it' just an auction for a bolt with a suggestion to ring the owner. Be nice to know what it sells for but were not likely to find out.
The proper Wildcat twin turbo engines were only 4.8L so that they could have thicker cylinder walls to stand up to the cylinder pressures., they did make up to 960BHP though so not too shabby.
Bit of history, back in the 1930's MG were running 1100cc 6 cylinder SOHC engines in their record breaker cars and were getting 175BHP per litre albeit on an exotic blend of fuel and Bronze cylinder heads.

Probably this has passed now but I can see a bolt there where there should be one, right at the front for definate, and I think I can see the next bolt towards the back. Or at least I can see the erm...sticky out bit where the bolt would normally be.Rossco wrote:Back again.......
Just one thing. He says it's a x-bolted block, looking at the 6th picture I can't see any bolts, old eyes?????
Also did Wildcat heads have 6 bolt rocker covers???
Yes, wildcat heads do have six rocker cover bolts. My dad sold some stuff to the guy a while a go for a Nissan Patrol and spoke to him on the phone. I've been perving at the website ever since
