flapper air flow meter upside down?

which was up is the air flow meter supposed to be? and does it matter if its upside down?

i don't think it reallly matters as the flap is sprung loaded anyway
so it should be ok
i have seen pictures of them at really weird angles
remember it's only a bodge if it DOSN'T worK
