rev counter

Hi, just picked up a used auto meter rev counter , can someone advise me where the wires go , the wires are black,red,yellow, and a blue ,obviousley no instructions came with it , its a rover v8 with standard coil many thanks, David.

pick your model from here http://www.egauges.com/AM_Instr.asp and download the instructions. Best as I can tell all the models with a yellow trigger wire are for magneto systems. I didn't check them all though and don't know which model you have.
