Not sure how much you would make back on the other parts, but at least you know you have *everything* you need for the conversion - such as the fuel injection pump etc.

If you have space to store the parts, you will get some money back eventually because there are long lead times on monaro parts - hence the low price for that car. There was a discussion about that one on the monaro section.

Given that the ebay engine requires a loom and ecu - and other stuff which could easily exceed a grand, I would say thats reasonable value for an entire car - the gearbox will sell easily if you dont intend to keep it yourself.

You will need to speak to "ringham" about efilive and getting the ecu working standalone (potentially before purchasing the engine). Stevieturbo may be able to offer some insight too.

I've spent about 4K on ebay for the bits for my engine build so far, admitadly in three orders, but I haven't been stung as yet. I did put the paypal charge through a credit card as an insurance if anything had gone wrong.
With regards the Monaro, I would most likley be interested in the brake calipers (depending on model) if you do decige to get it.
