Baffled sump advice

Post by Darkspeed »

I am putting a 3.9 and its associated sump into a car that will corner and brake significantly harder than the donor. The sump has the usual horizontal baffle but as its off being painted and cleaned it's an idea opportunity to add a few extra baffles to help prevent surge.

So any suggestions or previous experience would be welcomed.

Cheers

Andrew

Here's a pic of my baffled sump, the strip running top to bottom is the top of a trapdoor:

Well I had a play - I welded a 30mm deep lip around the opening for the pick-up then put in two dams with trap doors front and back of the sump - will see how it performs for a first attempt and consider further mods with an SD1 sump setup at a later stage.
