Hi all - I've just borrowed a fault code reader for a Lucas 14CUX unit but the connector I've got on my car isn't the same. The one on the fault code reader is a square plug with male connectors in it but the socket which I think should be the connector in the car is larger with the female part of spade connectors inside it, the socket is marked 'Rists' on it. Does this ring any bells with anybody ??
The ECU is a Lucas 14CUX and has been remapped by JE Engineering years ago, the car and engine were built in 1992.
I can't find a connector so don't know whether to cannabalise this one or not !!
Thanks for any help.
Simon

I have a 1990 motor and the connector is not square -I believe it is the early type and they (Rover) made an adaptor to go from this to the square / later style
I'll see if I can send a picture on PM as I have no joy in getting them to show up here!.
I hve also had 4 people "experts" look at my ECU also redone by JE and none of them ever managed to read the chip. So if you do manage please post how you did it!
I am currently running a standard ECU
