Pics of engine mounts

Hi all

i`m looking at replacing my engine mounts to the round style,10mm thread at each end.i have the mounts just need to make the brackets for them.

has anyone got any pics of these type mounted on there engine.i need to see how i can make the mounting on the engine block.this the way i have currentl got mine mounted and are having some vibration issues from them.

Put a brace up to the hole above lower mounts. They are supposed to mount in three places to stiffen them up.

I think I've got a couple of the engine mount brackets for the engine in the poop tip / garage somewhere. They are a steel bracket that bolts to the block with a hole in to take one side of the cotton reel mount, thus leaving you with a single stud either side to drop into a chassis mount. I'll have a look for them and take some pics for you.

I'm pretty sure they are P6 mounts so they will give you a lot of room to play with.

Hi perry,

i get the idea from the pics,will need to make something around my original brackets,i see that they mount at about 45deg so that gives me plenty to look at i morning.

they wont fit near mine perry,steering gets in the way thas why is not easy to do the mounts.

get them on ebay and make something,need the cash for pistons :D :D :D

I just bolted my RV8 in solid using the typical SD1 style steel mounts, and some steel spacers. No vibrations, and no engine twisting problems.
9.85 @ 144.75mph

Hi

yes had them fitted back a few years ago,junked all the brackets and mounts...lol

made some brackets up today and cut the mounts of the van.looking okay so far,get it all cleaned up and should get it welded on soon.
